Angie
joined AIR as a Research Assistant in April 2002. She currently
works on EMSTAC and several other projects involving assessments
and special education policy.
Prior
to AIR, Angie worked at the Rappahannock Community Services Board
as a Day Support Counselor with adults with developmental disabilities.
In this position Angie supported a group of adults in a community-based
program, encouraging a least-restrictive environment enabling individuals
to make choices and act independently. This experience spurred Angie's
interest in special education policy and instruction. Angie also
worked with inner-city children at an after-school program in Trenton,
New Jersey.
Angie
received her BA in Sociology from Mary Washington College in December
2001.
