St. Tammany Parish Public Schools LogoAt the time of training, the Linking Agent expressed that the district needs were in the areas of developing and/or updating the district's current social skills curriculum for students with special needs. She also felt that this could eventually be expanded to use with all students.

The Linking Agent and her team are considering options for the development of this curriculum. They have requested information on social skills curriculum and the research supporting successful programs. The Linking Agent is considering adopting a few basic concepts and techniques from the literature to try on a small scale in individual classrooms before writing curricula for a larger group.
