Getting Involved
The Role | A Day in the Life | Qualifications | FAQ's | Interest Form | Profile Form

EMSTAC works with school professionals who show the following knowledge, skills and interests:

  • Five or more years of experience in providing educational services to children with disabilities or consulting with school district personnel;

  • Knowledge of national school reform issues and initiatives and specific technical assistance interventions related to such topics as improving reading or implementing social skills programs;

  • Knowledge of school-based resources and organizational structures that affect policies and practices within your district and specific schools;

  • Organization and communication skills necessary to work with internal and external experts and school teams to implement technical assistance programs;

  • Experience with program coordination, program development, and/or evaluation is highly desirable;

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with diverse audiences; and

  • Excited and motivated about using distance education to bring research-based resources back to their districts.
