The Role | A Day in the Life | Qualifications | FAQ's | Interest Form | Profile Form

The role of a Linking Agent is similar to the role of a district or school-based staff development specialist or inservice coordinator. Qualified professionals will have specific responsibilities as a Technical Assistance (TA) Provider that include:

  • Working with school administrators and appropriate school committees to coordinate an agenda of TA events to include the following:

    • Identifying emergent technical assistance needs within their district;

    • Coordinate TA work with district personnel through identifying resources within and outside of the district such as consultants or materials;

  • Monitoring and supporting the implementation of new research-based practices, supporting teachers, providing feedback, and troubleshooting; and

  • Documenting all TA activities through a journal and participate in the EMSTAC evaluation.
