CARING Challenge Points and Choices

You’ve now read the first episode in Eagle Elementary’s unfolding saga and face some hard choices as you begin to craft a sound change strategy.

What do you think? Is there a widespread student discipline problem, or have a few incidents been blown out of proportion? How well does the leadership of Eagle Elementary get along? Want to bet on whether the problem gets too hot to handle?

Before you go any further into the case study, post your views and opinions, or read what others have said in the space reserved for.

Now, let’s do some targeted critical thinking. For each of the Scene 1 Challenge Points you will be presented with four choices.

After reading them, pick the one that sounds best to you. If none exactly hit the mark, please jot down what you would choose to do. Of course you can refer to the Scene 1 narrative, CARING – There’s B-a-a-a-d Behavior Afoot at Eagle Elementary.

After you click on an answer, you’ll then be able to read what others think of these responses.

When you’re done with all seven Planned Change exercises, you will be ready to create a compelling change strategy to succeed in your own classroom, school or district.

Select one of the CARING challenge points below to begin.
