What is a good launching, or positioning statement, to use to focus Eagles school discipline problem?
Choice A
Eagle Elementary School has a well-deserved reputation for good teachers, students and education programs and services.
Choice B
Eagle Elementary is a responsive school, committed and successful in educating children with many and varied learning needs.
Choice C
Eagle Elementary School children we help them grow.
Choice D
None of the above are exactly what should be used.
What is a good launching, or positioning statement to use to improve Eagles school discipline?
You Chose A
This statement is certainly true, and an excellent positioning statement
for the whole school, but it does not refer directly to school discipline.
You Chose B
This statement captures the ideals of the Eagle school discipline
program very well. The school is trying to employ an intervention that
responds to the problems of office referrals, and specifically Jay Foxhall.
The staff is committed to collaborating in an effort to implement a program
that is best for all the students as soon as the problem of discipline
arises. Whether this intervention will be "successful" remains
to be seen.
You Chose C
This choice is ambiguous, and certainly not very informative. It does,
however, have the merits of being succinct, memorable, and easy to print,
so it might make a fair slogan/motto, but this is not specific enough
for a positioning statement, especially on one on school discpline.
You Chose D
You could certainly come up with a comparable, if not superior, positioning
statement than the three above. The term "school discipline"
is not mentioned in any of the three above. Is that a severe term? What
might you use as a statement that more directly addresses the issue of
discipline?
