Video Available: "Positive Behavior Support in Schools"

The
Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
has produced a 23-minute video designed for teachers, administrators,
school personnel, and parents. Positive Behavior Support in
Schools can be used to demonstrate the implementation of
discipline strategies proven to decrease students' disruptive
behaviors. The video addresses seven core features of school-wide
positive behavior supports:
1.
Commitment from administrator
2. Team-based implementation
3. Define behavioral expectations
4. Teach behavioral expectations
5. Acknowledge/reward appropriate behavior
6. Monitor and correct unacceptable behavior
7. Use information for decision-making
The
