Jessica
joined the American Institutes for Research as a Research Assistant
in June of 2000. Currently she is working on the Elementary and
Middle Schools Technical Assistance Center (EMSTAC).
Prior
to employment with AIR, Jessica worked as a Victim's Advocate for
the Lorain County Rape Crisis Center, a Sexual Information Counselor
at the Oberlin College Sexual Information Center, and a Sexual Assault
Couselor at the Oberlin College Sexual Assault Support Team. In
these positions, she educated the student body and the residents
of Lorain County about issues surrounding sexual assault. Jessica
also worked with mentally ill and developmentally disabled adults
as a Residential Counselor in Seattle, Washington. She has also
worked with developementally delayed children as a tutor in the
Oberlin School System.
Jessica
graduated from Oberlin College in May 2000 where she earned a BA
in Psychology. For her independent research she created an educational
intervention to counteract the negative effects of the mass media
on sexual violence.
