Students
with disabilities are more likely than their peers to have difficulties
in written language. When addressing the student's individual needs,
it is imperative to evaluate and provide well rounded instruction
in all aspects of written language, including manuscript or cursive,
spelling, and written expression. Additionally, one must keep in
mind that writing skills develop concurrently with oral language,
decoding, and reading comprehension skills.
