Students begin by learning the sounds of the letters and small words. Lesson instructions are presented to the student by a pre-recorded voice and text. A short quiz follows each lesson presented in a game format. If the student wins the game (scores 80 percent or better), she is able to move on to the next lesson.
      • Lesson contents**:
Lessons 1-10 provide the initial foundation material. This includes a review of the alphabet, small words, and basic word attack strategies.
Lessons 11-22 teach students initial and final blends.
Lessons 23-41 teaches basic silent-"e" rules, digraphs, long vowel sounds and long vowel teams.
Lessons 42-59 teaches closed, two-syllable words, final consonant "le" rules, and the letter "y" sounds.
Lessons 60-75 teach "r"-controlled rules and sound combinations, more on vowel teams.
Lessons 76-87 address digraphs, suffixes, hard/soft "c" and "g", silent letters and numbers.
        Review lessons are interspersed throughout
